P.A. State Inspection w/ Emissions test  $49.82 w/ sales tax included. ($15 for regular inspection, $2 for sticker and $30 for Emissions procedure; 2.82 sales tax). Exempt status fee is $30 regardless. You are eligible for exemption if your vehicle was traveled less than 5,000 miles since your last inspection, older than model year 1975, a classic, antique, collectible, or hot rod registered, a vehicle from an exempt county in the state, or recently purchased. See us for details. Oil Change 18.00 for 5 quarts of premium 5W30 Motor Oil. Oil filters are 10.25. If your vehicle requires 6 quarts, the total becomes 21.60. Most vans or larger vehicles require 7 quarts, this is 25.20. Zaps recommends that you change your oil every 3,500 miles for best performance. Lube 5.00 Lubrication. Coolant System 39.95/tax Routine Checkup 18.95/tax (*6% sales tax in state of Pennsylvania.) Belts, hoses, fluid levels and oil are checked to ensure that they are running at optimum efficiency. Labor 35.00/hr  Depending on procedure, may increase to 45.00/hr. Factors to determine the labor charge include the amount of physical activity that the mechanic puts into the vehicle repair, including installation of additional parts.

As a result of requirements that the state of Pennsylvania has set forth concerning exemption status on vehicles in regards to an Emissions Inspection for your vehicle, I will outline the conditions by which your vehicle may be "exempt" from the program, but must pay $30 (regular price) anyway:

-If the vehicle was driven less than 5,000 miles since the last date of Inspection and you have owned the car for a minimum of 1 year. We will verify your mileage to determine whether you are eligible. Also, if the vehicle is new (from a dealership) and driven less than 5,000 miles an exemption is also possible until next date of Inspection.

-Vehicles registered as Classics, Antiques, Collectibles or Street Rods are exempt but still must pay the mandatory $30 fee.

-If the vehicle is older than model year 1975 you are qualified for exemption.

-If you bring your vehicle to us and you are from a different county other than Blair that doesn't support the Emissions program, you are considered exempt. If you are unsure, view this brochure concerning the program: http://www.drivecleanpa.state.pa.us/drivecleanpa/archive/brochure.pdf

Customers please note: To have your vehicle inspected by Pennsylvania standards, you must provide the following information at the time of the inspection:

-Owner's card (Vehicle Registration) that is current. Temporary registration printout can be used as verification, but must be accompanied by an older registration for scanning purposes.

-Valid Proof of insurance from your insurance company.
